Dr Huw Meirion Edwards is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Welsh at the University of Wales Aberystwyth. He is an accomlished poet, and won the National Eisteddfod Chair in 2004. He was responsible for editing 33 poems (nos 4, 8, 14, 15, 22, 48, 49, 51, 58, 59, 60, 65, 67, 77, 83, 91, 98, 104, 110, 116, 117, 118, 122, 123, 133, 135, 136, 137, 143, 144, 147, 154, 164), and for writing the section on the literary context in the Introduction.

Dr Dylan Foster Evans is a lecturer in the School of Welsh at Cardiff University. He is a keen naturalist, and he was the project’s nature consultant. He was responsible for editing 34 poems (nos 11, 19, 34, 38, 41, 42, 52, 54, 62, 71, 80, 81, 82, 88, 89, 92, 94, 97, 99, 101, 103, 108, 109, 112, 121, 124, 126, 128, 131, 132, 140, 145,  160, 166), and co-authored the section on the poet’s life in the Introduction.

Research Assistants:
 

Ifor ap Dafydd is a temporary lecturer in the Department of Welsh, Swansea University. He was a research assistant on the project from April 2005 to April 2007, and was responsible for inputting material onto the website, and for organisation of the conference.

 

Dr Hannah Dentinger was a part-time research assistant on the project from October 2006 to April 2007. She was responsible for collecting the pictures for the notes, and she also assisted with organisation of the conference.

 

Dr Elisa Moras is a lecturer in the Department of Welsh at the University of Wales Lampeter. She was a research assistant on the project 2003–4, and edited two poems (nos 134 and 138). Elisa began the work of preparing electronic texts and also prepared a concordance to Dafydd ap Gwilym’s poetry. She was also involved in transcribing manuscripts.

 

Dr Sara Elin Roberts is a lecturer in the School of Welsh at the University of Wales Bangor. She was a research assistant on the project 2002–6, with particular responsibility for the manuscript databases and for drafting the stemmas and the bibliography. She edited the debate poems and ‘Gwayw Serch’ (nos 23–30 and 127), and co-authored the section on the poet’s life in the Introduction.

Dr Ann Parry Owen is a reader at the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, Aberystwyth, and the leader of a research team preparing a new edition (online and in print) of the poetry of Guto'r Glyn.
