Englynion to the Kiss
A kiss from one of the sun's colour keeps me from aging
sadly
on account of a multitude's treasure;
composing of beneficial praise, two lovely sides,
4 it was a lock on the lips of a gentle girl.
When I managed to get it, a noble effort,
good cherished kiss,
I was happy, it will last for ever,
8 the muzzle of a magnificent girl's life-breath.
It was a favour which delivered it to me, a dexterous girl gave
it to me,
fine prodigality without prior discussion,
bright exalted meeting,
12 joyous bond of two breaths.
I know clear fitting language of an awdl
by the rule to my gift
which is better than a spur of red gold;
uniter of fine wine-deserving lips,
16 mouth-jewel of a radiant white girl.
